Goals for updating user guides to OOo 3.3

Our goals for the next round of reviews and updates of the OOo user guides (Getting Started, Writer Guide, Calc Guide, Draw Guide, Impress Guide) are described here.

You need to install the latest Release Candidate (RC) of OOo 3.3 for testing and screen captures. Get this from this page.

  1. Put chapters into new template (mainly new branding). Get the template here. You will also need to install the Template Changer extension. Some amendments, including changing the title page graphics, must be made manually.
  2. Update the chapters for any changes in OOo V3.3. The features list is here.
  3. Make improvements, including new screen captures where needed to include new icon sets. For screen captures, be sure to use the Galaxy icon set (in Tools > Options > OpenOffice.org > View), not Automatic (which can vary with your operating system).
